I was outside for about 15 minutes this morning and I can’t believe it was so sunny and warm during the summer. It doesn’t seem possible, does it? Still, I enjoy all of the little things you can’t see during the rest of the year, like the richness of the bark on some of the bushes and the way the seed head from the last sunflower of summer stands like a battered sentry in the vegetable garden.

Winter Garden Beauty - Little Birds
