Last Few Pinecones Hanging On

All the pine cones are on the ground except these two guys. They seem determined to keep hanging out in the tree. The brown makes such a nice contrast against the green pine needles.

I have a pine tree in my yard as well and there is one lone cone that is holding out as well. I Wonder how long he can hang on… I’ll come back and let you know the day he gives up.
